Log onto the Scholastic News 1 website. Then scroll to the bottom of the homepage. It’s right there, under Teacher Tools! Click the link to access pdfs of our standards alignments.

These are listed in the lesson plan that goes with each issue. You can find them online or in print.
Online: Go to the Scholastic News 1 homepage. Go to the issue you want. Click on it.
You’ll come to a page devoted to that particular issue. Scroll down to the bottom of that page. You’ll find Common Core, Texas, and California standards for that issue.
You can also find them by going to the top right corner of that webpage. Under resources, you can click on “Standards.” That will take you to the Common Core standards for that month’s issues.
You can also click on “Lesson Plan” under Resources. Standards are listed at the top of the page and under each activity.
