Hands-On Activity: Make a Veterans Day Mini Book

Skill: fluency

Materials: Veterans Day Mini Book skill sheets, scissors, crayons, stapler

  • Pass out copies of the skill sheet. Have children cut along the dotted lines.
  • Next, have children put the pages in numerical order and staple them together to make a book. Children can write their name on the cover and color the pictures.
  • Read the book aloud as kids follow along in their own copies. Have them practice until they can read the book fluently. Send the mini book home for kids to read to their families.
